www.euromillion.com – You’ve heard of Murphy’s Law? Well this is a perfect example of it. An American gentleman went out to put on his Lottery tickets and just two hours later dropped dead of a heart attack, an unremarkable story you may think, but what makes this story remarkable is the ticket was a winning one and the player posthumously won $10 million.
His widow agrees that he would have been amused by the turn of fortune, saying he would have probably said it was ‘just his luck’.
It’s easy to laugh but there is of course a rather serious side to this story and the blow of losing your husband of 59 years can’t even be softened by a $10 million lottery win. It’s certainly bitter-sweet although the players wife will of course never want for anything again.
I’m sure she would just rather have her husband back though and losing him, even if it made her $10 million richer must of been a terrible shock.
The family, understandably aren’t planning any shopping sprees although the widow does say she could use a new car, I guess it will take time for the news of both her husbands death and this staggering lottery win to sink in.
