Euromillions.com – I think Europe has only just recovered from the excitement of the £100 million Super draw on the Euromillions Lottery just a couple of weeks ago, this massive jackpot was shared between two lucky players, one from France and one From Austria.

PLAY NOW

Of course once the jackpot had been won then it was reset back to an estimated £13 million for last weekends draw but players who had clearly had their eye on the £100 million pushed that estimated jackpot up to £14 million with high lottery sales by Friday morning.
However despite increased sales the jackpot was not won by any players in any of the nine participating European countries, you know what that means? Yes its another rollover for the EUromillions.

So if you’ve only just got over the excitement of the last big draw it’s time to get your heart racing again as this Fridays Euromillions Jackpot is worth an estimated £27 million to one lucky player who can match all five numbers and the two lucky stars.
It’s quite possible it will be won this weekend but if not then we may just find ourselves well ont he way to another Super draw.
So get those tickets now fpor the next Euromillions rollover draw. The draw will be held on Friday night in Paris so make sure you get your lucky tickets in plenty of time. Good luck! www.euromillions.com

www.euromillion.com – Storming on the success of the Merry Millions £5 scratchcard last Christmas and the Rich for Life £5 scratchcard that soon followed the National Lotto have joined forces with one of televisions most successful gameshows and launched a brand new £5 scratchcard. The Deal or no Deal scratchcard could net you £250,000 if you’re lucky and offers a massive nine chances to win on each ticket.

PLAY NOW

The cards are one of the range of £5 scratchcards with big prizes available from the National Lottery and a brand new ad campaign has just been launched in the UK to celebrate the launch of the new scratchcard.

The advert has a comical feel, as you see a lady run out to her wheelie bin and open it up to put rubbish in before the bin lorry trundles down the street all of a sudden the scene transforms and it’s a red box she is opening to win £250,000. She is suddenly transported to the deal or no deal studio and you see her celebrating her big win.

If the new scratch card follows in the success of other £5 scratchcards from the National Lottery it should be huge and with nine chances to win on each card it really does work out to be great value for money. Euromillion.com

A Pensioner was banned from the Tesco store in Addlestone in the Uk for one day after taking all of his clothes off over a row about a Euromillion lottery ticket. The gentleman Norman Matthews, 68 or Weybridge went into the superstor in Station Roas last Thursday and bought two lucky dip tickets for Friday Nights Euromillions Lottery draw and a £2 scratch card.

Mr Matthews paid with a £10 note but moments later the cashier refused to give him either his tickets or his change because she had mistakenly thought she had already handed over the tickets and the money.

The gentleman, a regular at the Tesco Extra store showed the lady his wallet to show there was no Euromillions ticket or £5 in there and she accused him of putting it in his pocket. He says he then requested to be searched by a security guard but the guard refused.
Shocked at being called a thief Mr Matthews stripped to his underwear to prove that he hadn’t stolen the tickets or the cash.
He was then banned from the store for one day until he calmed down. The next day the manager of the store apologied to Mr Matthews saying the ticket hadn’t registered on the lottery terminal.

Mr Matthews maintains that he did what he did out of principle and that the shopkeeper should have listened to what he had to say. He feels that tescos could have dealt with the situation better than they did.

www.euromillion.com – A study into the Big Lottery Fund, the organisation that deals with cash for good causes from the UK National Lottery has shown that Labour Party constituencies in the UK get far more funding for good causes than the constituencies of any other political party.

PLAY NOW

Labour areas in fact get four times more cash than Conservative areas and even more than that in Liberal Democrat constituencies.
The study has raised concerns on lottery cash and spending and whether the Labour party is using lottery cash to sweeten its grassroots areas.

The party strenuously deny any allegations of wrongdoing, citing the fact that Labour constituencies are just naturally more deprived areas and that would lead to a misrepresentative figure, making it look like the National Lotto Big Lottery fund is actually giving these areas preferential treatment.

It’s hard to deny the allegations though when you consider that the top five community projects funded by the national Lottery big lottery fund in 2008 were all Labour areas, every single one.

This just gives more weight to the Conservative party regards the upcoming elections and will do no good for the Labour party’s already dwindling popularity.
Conservative have now made it part of their manifesto to ensure that cash is distributed fairly if they should come to power. euromillion.com

www.euromillion.com – You’ve heard of Murphy’s Law? Well this is a perfect example of it. An American gentleman went out to put on his Lottery tickets and just two hours later dropped dead of a heart attack, an unremarkable story you may think, but what makes this story remarkable is the ticket was a winning one and the player posthumously won $10 million.

His widow agrees that he would have been amused by the turn of fortune, saying he would have probably said it was ‘just his luck’.
It’s easy to laugh but there is of course a rather serious side to this story and the blow of losing your husband of 59 years can’t even be softened by a $10 million lottery win. It’s certainly bitter-sweet although the players wife will of course never want for anything again.

I’m sure she would just rather have her husband back though and losing him, even if it made her $10 million richer must of been a terrible shock.

The family, understandably aren’t planning any shopping sprees although the widow does say she could use a new car, I guess it will take time for the news of both her husbands death and this staggering lottery win to sink in.

euromillion.com – You know what it’s like, you’ve finished all the shopping, everything is wrapped, you THINK you’ve thought of everyone and then at the last minute someone drops around the house with a gift for you and you have nothing to give them back. It’s so embarrassing and seems to happen every single year!

PLAY NOW

Well now I have a wonderful solution I used last year and it was brilliant, I’ll share it with you as it’s a cheap effective way of covering all those people you may have forgotten.
Take £20 and spend £10 on lucky dip tickets for the National Lottery and spend the other £10 on various instant wins (the festive games are always a good bet) then pop them into a stocking with a load of nuts (not the neighbours! The shelled variety)

Then when you have unexpected guests over Christmas tell them you are holding your own lucky dip. Each guest may dip into the bag and remove one ‘gift’, they get the chance to win lots of money and the cost to you has been minimal.
What’s even better is that if they don’t all get used up you can keep them for yourself and they are not wasted.
We had seven left over last year and they ended up being worth over £20 which paid for the tickets in the first place.
National Lottery tickets make great unique gifts, try it this year and be the toast of all your friends. Even better is if they win the jackpot they will feel compelled to share with you!

With the 2012 Olympics looming it’s interesting to know that a great deal of the cash raised will be coming from lottery and euromillions funds and Camelot (the organisation that runs the Lottery and Euromillions within the UK) say they are well on course to raise the amount promised for the London 2012 Olympics.

In total £750 million of money from the designated lottery games will be donated to the fund for the London 2012 games. In addition to cash raised through the National Lottery and Euromillions, Camelot have also designed scratch cards specifically to raise cash for the 2012 games. It’s a great idea and by purchasing these cards you know exactly where your money is going and you know you are helping to give us the best Olympic games the world has ever seen.

This of course doesn’t even come close to the £3 Billion already donated to the sports sector by the National Lottery and Euromillions since their launch, improving local clubs and local facilities making Britains athletes of the future improve by investment.

So next time you purchase your Euromillions ticket you can do so knowing that you are helping yet another worthy cause within the UK.
